How to Use This Tip Calculator
Our tip calculator makes it easy to calculate gratuity and split bills at restaurants:
1. Enter Your Bill Amount
Input the subtotal from your restaurant bill (before tip). Note that you don't enter the decimal point - this is done for you automatically for easier entry. Just type in the numbers in order - for example, if your bill is $58.23 just type 5823; if your bill is $300.00 just type 30000"
2. Adjust Tip Percentage
Use the slider to select your desired tip percentage (0-50%). The default is 20%, which is standard for good service in the United States.
3. Split the Bill
Enter the number of people to split the check evenly. The calculator shows the per-person amount including tip.
